"A dangerous combination of brute force and awesome skill, Wrecks is an immensely intimidating racer. Brooding, ill-tempered, and quick to harbor contempt, Wrecks is not the kind who will back down from a fight; he has always fought hard to achieve his goals and he plans on keeping it that way.
Together with Krom, Wrecks will not hesitate to fix a problem by plowing through it and making sure it stays down."[1]
History[]
RGP XIII[]
As revealed in "The New Guy", Wrecks is a veteran racer by the time of RGP XIII, and a close friend of Krom's. The two join the other veterans in putting on a driving exhibition prior to the start of the tournament. In "Welcome To The Big Time", Tag bumps into the pair aboard the Ark after a press conference, and is only saved from a beating by Tamira. During the subsequent race at Desert Rose, Wrecks and Krom both go after Tag, only to be taken out when the Ruby Star's Supernova feature is accidentally activated.
In "Playing With Fire", Wrecks and Krom are highly amused by Tag's Jump Jump Power Drink commercial, though they later join the other veterans in complaining to Mr. King about the attack on the popular rookie. During the event at Highland Air Race Track, however, Wrecks joins Krom is feigning terror at Tag's promise to get even with Krom. Wrecks is quick to go after Tag during the race, and manages to puncture the Ripper's fuel tank. He is prevented from causing any further damage by Sonny, who uses the Boomboxer's special feature to take out Wrecks' Atlas. In "Shakes, Rattles, & Rolls", Wrecks and Krom are interviewed by Ms. Dira about Tag's media reception, with Wrecks disparaging Tag as a "lucky" newcomer. Wrecks later takes part in the race at Pinewood Reservoir, which Tag wins.
In "Can I Get A Ka-Ching!", Wrecks and Krom mock Tag when they see him racing down a hallway with parts, having obviously just received sponsor money. Tag then notes the oddity of the fact that the pair haven't won any races or sponsorships, yet they never seem to be in need of funds. In "Mostly True Confessions", Wrecks and Krom corner Meelo after he knocked Krom out of the Blizzard's Bite race. They continue to pursue him even when Tag, Sonny, and Meika rescue him and Ms. Dira shows up to do interviews. Later, after Meelo takes Krom down, Wrecks takes him to the Ark medical ward with a warning message from Meelo.
RGP XIV[]
According to King in "Back In The Game", Wrecks retired from racing following the previous RGP. In “Fair Game”, he is seen on a television clip where a reporter attempts to approach him for an interview. Having apparently taken up ownership of a restaurant and gladly left the RGP behind, Wrecks is uninterested and angrily tells the reporter to leave, much to Krom’s amusement.
Appearance[]
Wrecks is a tall, muscular humanoid, taller and stockier than Tag. He has gray skin and a stylized rhinoceros head that is shorter and more blunt than a real rhino's head. He has purple eyes and a single horn on the end of his nose.
Wrecks' racing attire consist of a sleeveless jumpsuit that is a mixture of dark orange and brown, with an off-white sleeveless undershirt. He has dark orange elbow bands with rectangular metal spikes on the back, and brown fingerless gloves with his logo emblazoned on the back. He wears a dark orange and black helmet with a small transparent visor protecting his eyes while leaving his snout exposed. Wrecks' casual attire consists of a short-sleeved red shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.
