The black box was a data storage device originally belonging to Mr. King. It contained a great deal of data on King's illicit interference in the Rimba Grand Prix, as well as the true identities of the Ringmasters. Before Tag and his friends confronted King about it, Meika used a device to corrupt the data and prevent it from being decoded. Eventually, Meelo managed to figure how to bypass the corruption. But when Meelo attempted to hack into the box, Xeno's nanobots detected the hack and fried Meelo's computer and the black box, destroying the only intel Tag and his friends have on the Ringmasters.
